Who can foretell future accurately (without missing anything)? None.
Who can tell what’s going to happen in a few seconds later? None.
Has weather forecasts been always correct? Nope.
I was chatting with my friend last few days and he raised up about the end of Mayan Calendar (which ends on Dec 21, 2012). There have been discussions on this matter, because it is believed that the end of the Mayan Calendar would mean either doomsday or the beginning of a new era. Some argue or believe that there would be a polar shift of the Earth (which means that the North Pole would become the South Pole and vice versa). So my friend was saying jokingly that life is too short, don’t study too hard. 
Ooo yeahhh….
But, how much can we rely on this prediction? Is it worth to be worry due to this prophecy? Well, I don’t know. I believe future is uncertain, even though a very famous fortune teller may predict future wrongly. So can we rely on this Calendar or the Mayan Prophecy (it is believed that the Prophecy was always right)?
I guess, it’s good to think about future and plan for it. Yet we shouldn’t stay too long in future, we have to bring back our attention to NOW since we are living in NOW, not future. We can set a plan for our future path, but the now moment is the one who would lead you to the future. Guess, if you ask me which is more important, future or now, I’d pick the now.
However people may think that living in now would mean that we neglect the future. I don’t think so. Neglecting the future means that you don’t care what’s going on in the future. It is a way of living without wisdom. We should be aware that what we are doing right now would determine or lead you to the future. So we should be aware of the consequences of our actions now, so we won’t regret later on. Planning for a future would give you a drive to grow, I believe. Yet it is important to remember, plan is just a plan. Don’t get attached to it as what the future unfolds may not be exactly like what you’ve planned.
Is the Mayan Prophecy accurate or not, let future answer it.
