Random thought

I was listening to Christina Aguilera’s “I’m ok” song. The lyrics inspired me to write this. As we all might have been aware of, X’tina Aguilera had a bad childhood, her father was abusive to her mom. The lyrics for somehow struck me~~ There is truth in those lines. Your actions may be the past, may be a memory, but the impact of your action may linger. The pain her father has caused still linger in her~~ even though the incident happened ages ago… yet the bruises haven’t been healed.

Interestingly, we hold on to this bruises and pain longer than the happiness others have given. Why is that? Why sadness and pain have greater impact to us than happiness or joy? I guess it’s because it causes us suffering. We don’t like suffering, yet ironically we also can’t let go of it~~~ I guess, another possible reason why the pain stays on is that we can’t forgive that person who caused us the pain, and maybe our own self too?

I really like this song, not because it is sad or painful, but it carries a good message. The song tells us not to hurt someone else, cos the pain that we’ll cause might stay on, and it would ruin the relationship. The line that I also like is “Every morning that I wake I look back at yesterday, and I’m OK”.

I can’t help but thinking of Britney Spears while I’m listening to this song.I don’t know whether I should feel sorry for her, or I should laugh at her action. Honestly, I do feel sorry for her, yet I also find her stupid. If you see the stardoms’ lives, despite the glamour they’re living in, they are still like us~~ having sad moments, depression, arguments, etc. ~~ they also have flaws. I sometimes think that their lives ain’t easy. I mean, they don’t have privacy, whatever they do or say are exposed to the media. :( I can’t imagine living in such conditions where I won’t have my own room. Indeed, everything has pros and cons. So, be grateful for whatever you have right now! :)
